Masters Collection® Cookware
What should I do with my cookware before I use it for the first time?
Thoroughly wash in hot soapy water with soft cloth or sponge. Rinse with hot water and dry very well.
What temperature should I use when cooking on the stove top?
For optimal cooking performance, low to medium heat settings are recommended. Use a high heat for boiling only.
Should I preheat my pan before cooking?
When sautéing, frying, searing or cooking eggs, always preheat the pan first. Preheating will improve the cooking performance and help prevent sticking.
Preheat by placing oil, butter or margarine in a cold pan, place on the burner and set the heat at the temperature at which you plan to cook. Do not preheat on high to heat the pan faster.
Preheat for 1-2 minutes or until the oil, butter or margarine begins to bubble briskly. If the butter begins to burn and turn brown, the heat setting is too high.
For best results, allow ingredients to come to room temperature before adding to a preheated pan. Cold ingredients are much more likely to stick. Allow refrigerated ingredients to rest for 10-15 minutes before adding to a preheated pan.
Do not use aerosol cooking sprays--these leave a residue that is difficult to remove completely and can cause discoloration or sticking.
What special care should be taken when cooking with Nonstick cookware?
For best results us a low to medium heat setting for cooking. Never allow an empty nonstick pan to overheat. This could degrade the non stick surface and cause fumes which are harmful to pet birds and other animals with sensitive respiratory systems.
Do Not use non stick cookware under the broiler or at baking temperatures above 450°
How do I clean my Masters Collection® Cookware?
After cooking, allow pans to cool before placing it in water. Hand washing is recommended to ensure long lasting beauty.
Remove all oils and food particles with hot soapy water and a cloth or nylon scrubbing pad. Do Not use harsh cleansers, oven cleaners, cleaners with chlorine bleach or steel wool. Use only non abrasive cleaners, such as Bar Keeper's Friend or Bon Ami.
Rinse with hot water and dry immediately to prevent water spots.
Masters Collection® Cookware can be washed in the dishwasher, but we recommend hand washing for best results.

Hyde Park® Cutlery
What type of cutting board should be used with Hyde Park® knives?
Always use an appropriate cutting surface--a wooden or polyethylene cutting board is recommended. Glass, metal or marble surfaces will dull and eventually damage the knife blade.
How should I keep my Hyde Park® knives sharp?
To ensure maximum performance and safety, hone the blade with a sharpening steel before each use. Do not hone knives with serrated edges. The Masters Collection® Diamond Sharpening Steel realigns the blade edge while lightly honing it for added sharpness.
How do I clean my Hyde Park® knives?
For best results, hand wash your knives in hot soapy water and dry thoroughly with a soft towel. Do not clean in a dishwasher--the edges could get nicked from jostling plus the intense heat and detergent could damage the blades.
How should my knives be stored?
Sharp knives should never be stored loose in a drawer. Use plastic knife guards or custom built drawer systems when storing in a drawer. For safe, convenient and flexible storage, we recommend the Masters Collection® Cutlery Drawer Storage.

Masters Collection® Gadgets/Tools/Utensils
How should I care for my wooden spoons or products with a wood handle?
We recommend hand washing of all wooden spoons and products with a wood handle. For best results, do not soak in water, do not put in a dishwasher, do not leave in direct sunlight and do not put in an oven or microwave.
Wooden spoons should be rubbed periodically with mineral oil to preserve the moisture content of the wood.
How should I care for my rolling pin?
Do not immerse in water. To clean, wipe with a dry or damp cloth. Dry thoroughly.
